More and more consumers are looking for cheaper ways to heat their homes this winter, especially after the way gas prices rose a couple of months ago. They are looking for alternative ways too. You don’t see many outdoor wood furnaces anymore or any type of outdoor furnace. But Greenwood Furnace has brought back the concept. The Aspen Series Outdoor Wood Furnace was created to get rid of the outdoor wood boilers.

Aspen Series Outdoor Wood Furnace
The Aspen Series was created for residential homes. These Wood Furnaces actually have a high efficiency rating. This type of unit can be used with either Radiant Heating, Baseboard Heating or Forced Air Heating. What makes these furnaces worthwhile is that they are designed to help you save at least 70% of your normal heating bill.
One of the benefits of using the Aspen Outdoors Wood Furnace is that is runs clean. The wood burns very clean so that there is nothing left over to form into ashes or any amount of smoke. You can actually save money on the operation of the furnace. The Aspen Series uses less wood by about 50% than the other outdoor models.
Perhaps one of the best features is that these units are very low maintenance. They don’t need to be cleaned so often, which is good news in the snow months. The Aspen Series is UL and CSA Certified and it is EPA Qualified as well.
Let’s check out some of the great features the Aspen has to offer, it has a Digital Control Panel making it easier to run and manage the furnace properly. The unit also has a Built In Exhaust Curtain, this helps the smoke to flow and escape through the normal exhaust system when you load the furnace with wood. This unit has an easy to access real door, making maintenance and cleaning easy as 1-2-3.
The Aspen Series has a Lockable, perfect for the protection of the others, plus it keeps the heat from escaping. The best part is the Plug and Run Operation. This means that the Aspen Series Wood Furnace can connect to any existing outside plumbing with very little or any changes to the plumbing. This is something that will make homeowners happy. There is nothing more frustrating than getting a new heating system that you are excited about using and when you go to install it, you can’t because of some pipe or fitting modification that you have to make
There are 2 models of the Aspen Series Outdoor Wood Furnace the Model 175; it has a BTUH rating of 110,000 for an 8-hour Output and a Max Rated Output of 230,000 BTUH. Model 175 can heat up to 7,000 square feet. The second model, Model 300 has an 8-hour Output rating of 270,000 BTUH and a Max Rated Output of 420,000 BTUH. The Model 300 can heat up to 12,000 square feet.
Greenwood Furnace offers a limited warranty of 10 years in internal furnace parts and a 1-year warranty on other parts.
